Yoga

Week #9 of Quarantine

I led a yoga class with our girls. It so much fun! No preparation needed. I suggested to the girls that they find a place in their home that has space and preferably carpet. If not carpeted, they could use a yoga mat or towel so there is some comfort. After the activity, I shared an image that has a few basic yoga poses along with the calming music that we listened to. We covered some of the basic poses depicted in addition to a couple harder ones. The activity itself took 40 minutes.

Pictionary Online

Week #10 of Quarantine  The girls wanted to play generic pictionary. I would privately chat the word to the drawer, they would give me a thumbs up or down if they knew what it was, and then they would begin. We set a timer for 3 minutes for each word, but everyone seemed to guess correctly fairly quick. When we completed a round, which was when everyone had taken a turn, we would set the words to a harder level. Depending on the video chat program you use, there will be a whiteboard that you can share screen with the girls and they can draw on it. If you do not have that or can not make it work, we used regular paper and markers and it worked well for us.  This is the word generator we used: https://randomwordgenerator.com/pictionary.php
