Book Club

Our group of girls are BOOK WORMS.

This is a laid back activity and you do not have to prepare much. We told our class the week before to bring a book. Could be any book. A favorite book, children's book, one they are currently reading, you name it. We just suggested not to bring the scriptures (as much as we love them) and it needed to be appropriate. It was also encouraged to bring a treat or snack to share, but not required.

We laid out blankets and pillow on the floor, popped off our shoes, filled our plates with snacks, and pulled out our books. Each girl was given a few minutes to talk about their book. Naturally we all agreed that sharing the ending was not allowed in case someone wanted to read it, but there would be an opportunity to ask questions after they were done speaking.

It was a GREAT activity! Everyone loved it. We even had one girl bring 3 books because she couldn't pick one before coming. There was another girl that brought homemade bread sticks! YUM! I fully recommend this activity.

Pictionary Online

Week #10 of Quarantine  The girls wanted to play generic pictionary. I would privately chat the word to the drawer, they would give me a thumbs up or down if they knew what it was, and then they would begin. We set a timer for 3 minutes for each word, but everyone seemed to guess correctly fairly quick. When we completed a round, which was when everyone had taken a turn, we would set the words to a harder level. Depending on the video chat program you use, there will be a whiteboard that you can share screen with the girls and they can draw on it. If you do not have that or can not make it work, we used regular paper and markers and it worked well for us.  This is the word generator we used: https://randomwordgenerator.com/pictionary.php
