Would You Rather?

Week #13 of Quarantine  We played Would You Rather. One of our girls had a book so we started with that at first, but it was really gross so we stopped using it. We ended up finding a punch of questions online to use that were much more thought provoking and enjoyable. It was interesting to hear why the girls or leaders picked the answer they did. Would definitely recommend this activity.  https://www.signupgenius.com/groups/would-you-rather.cfm

Science and Social

Week #12 of Quarantine  We had one of our girls lead us in a simple science experiment. It's called Soft Playdough, but we like to refer to it as Fluffy Slime. You only need conditioner and corn starch; food coloring is optional. Our young woman also taught us how to fill a balloon with it to create a stress ball. How awesome! During this experiment we also played 2 truths and 1 lie. It was a fantastic time! https://youtu.be/KGvXaH6FDdU

Charades for Kids

Week #11 of Quarantine We decided that since pictonary went so well, we would try charades. It operated the same way. They would receive a private message with their word(s), tell me if they knew it or not, and then proceed. I will have to say that the girls were not as quick to guess correctly as last week but it was still fairly comical. The generator we used is included below. There's also an adult version, but we used the one for kids. Boy did these girls make me feel old and I am honestly not that much older than them.  http://www.getcharadesideas.com/charades-for-kids/

Pictionary Online

Week #10 of Quarantine  The girls wanted to play generic pictionary. I would privately chat the word to the drawer, they would give me a thumbs up or down if they knew what it was, and then they would begin. We set a timer for 3 minutes for each word, but everyone seemed to guess correctly fairly quick. When we completed a round, which was when everyone had taken a turn, we would set the words to a harder level. Depending on the video chat program you use, there will be a whiteboard that you can share screen with the girls and they can draw on it. If you do not have that or can not make it work, we used regular paper and markers and it worked well for us.  This is the word generator we used: https://randomwordgenerator.com/pictionary.php
